FIELD HOCKEY: Dallastown solidifies hold on first with win vs. rival Red Lion

Dallastown solidified its hold on first place in the York-Adams Division I field hockey race on Thursday with a 2-0 road victory over rival Red Lion.

The Wildcats improved to 10-1-0 in the division while Red Lion dropped to 8-4-0.

Maggie Noll scored both goals in the second half, while Danielle Ludwig had both assists. Dallastown had a 6-0 edge in shots and an 11-2 edge in corners.

The JV match ended 0-0.

OTHER FIELD HOCKEY

Central York 5, Northeastern 0: At Manchester, Greta Plappert had a hand in every Central score with a goal and four assists. Sara Rilatt, Amanda Miller, Juah Toe and Kyra Heap also had goals. Kali Menendez added an assist. Allyson Shindler had 12 saves for the Bobcats. Central, which improved to 9-3 in York-Adams Division I, outshot Northeastern, 16-0.

South Western 5, Waynesboro 1: At Hanover, Montana Utz had four of the Mustangs' goals in the non-league battle. South Western won the JV match, 3-2.

Camp Hill 5, Fairfield 0: At Fairfield, the Green Knights got shut out in a non-league contest.
