FIELD HOCKEY: Central York knocks New Oxford out of first place

Central 2, New Oxford 1: At Central, Greta Plappert's goal with 1:01 left in the second half broke a 1-1 tie and clinched the York-Adams Division I victory for the Panthers. Jenny Lawson picked up the assist on the game winner, while Central's Mackenzie Dixon scored a first-half goal, with Amanda Miller adding an assist. The loss dropped New Oxford to 9-2-0 in the division and dropped the Colonials out of first. Central improved to 8-3-0.

Dallastown 7, Northeastern 0: At Dallastown, Olivia Talley, Kaylee Frey and Molly Lohss led the Wildcats by each scoring two goals. Mariah Frey scored one goal, while Maggie Noll, Dani Ludwig and Kiele Fullerton each picked up one assist. The Wildcats held the Bobcats to zero shots on goal. Dallastown improved to 9-1-0 in York-Adams Division I and, with New Oxford's loss to Central York, takes over first place.

Red Lion 6, Spring Grove 0: At Spring Grove, Jill Orwig and Samantha Collis each scored two goals to lead the Lions. Kynslee Sheperd and Jayla Godfrey each scored one goal. The Lions held the Rockets to two shots on goal. Red Lion improved to 8-3-0 in the division. Spring Grove goalie Camille Lecrone made 22 saves.

Kennard-Dale 5, York Suburban 0: At Fawn Grove, Calie Swegon and Renee Gering led the Rams by each scoring one goal and adding two assists. Emma Lucas, Morgan Bowings and Alexis Barlow each scored one goal, while Liz Six added one assist. The Rams held the Trojans to zero shots on goal. K-D won the JV match, 3-0.

Gettysburg 5, Eastern York 0: At Gettysburg, the Warriors improved to 9-0-0 in York-Adams Division II action and sewed up the division crown. Madi Hirneisen (two goals), Elena Montenegro (goal, two assists) and Katelyn Gormley (goal, assist) led Gettysburg.

Bermudian Springs 5, Littlestown 1: At York Springs, Kaitlyn McCullum scored three goals to lead the Eagles. Littlestown won the JV match, 1-0. Bermudian clinched the York-Adams Division III title at 9-0-0.

Susquehannock 1, West York 0: At West York, the Warriors edged the Bulldogs. The Warriors improved to 7-2 in York-Adams Division II, while West York fell to 4-4. No other details were reported.
