FIELD HOCKEY: New Oxford nips Dallastown in battle of York-Adams Division I powers

New Oxford 1, Dallastown 0: At New Oxford, Bre Sauter scored the lone goal when she found the back of the net at the 21:54 mark of the first half. Kaelyn Long picked up an assist, while Sydney Leete made five stops in goal to record the shutout. For the Wildcats, Syd Terroso made five saves. New Oxford improved to 9-1-0 in York-Adams Division I, while Dallastown fell to 7-1. The Wildcats won the JV match 1-0.

Gettysburg 4, Susquehannock 0: At Glen Rock, the home team stayed with unbeaten Gettysburg for a half, but the Adams County Warriors dominated the second half. Megan Miller and Elena Montenegro each had a goal and assist for the winners. Gettysburg improved to 8-0 in York-Adams Division II, while Susquehannock fell to 6-2. The JV match ended in a 2-2 tie.

Kennard-Dale 1, Eastern York 1 (OT): At Wrightsville, both teams found the back of the net in the first half but neither could connect the rest of the way. The Rams goal came off the stick of Emmie Dressel at the 16:24 mark, with an assist from Elizabeth Six. The Golden Knights' goal came off the stick of Bri Goodling at the 20:22 mark. Rams goalie Lauren Lisek made 13 stops, while Golden Knights goalie Emily Bodien made six stops. K-D won the JV match, 4-0.

Red Lion 4, South Western 0: At Red Lion, Emily Gillmen led the Lions to the Division I victory by scoring two goals. Sam Collis and Amy Maciejewski each scored one goal. The Lions defense held the Mustangs to three shots on goal. Red Lion won the JV match, 1-0.

Spring Grove 1, Northeastern 1 (OT): At Manchester, the Rockets found the back of the net first, when Corrine Mummert connected at the 24:42 mark of the first half. The Bobcats responded in the second half, when Kendra Meyer registered the tying goal with 18 minutes left. Rockets goalie Camille Lecrone made 12 stops, while Bobcats goalie Allyson Shindler made six stops.

Central York 7, Dover 0: At Dover, Amanda Miller led the Panthers to the Division I victory by scoring three first-half goals. Greta Plappert scored two goals, while Sara Rilatt and Carly Schriver each scored one goal. The Panthers defense held the home team to two shots on goal.

West York 2, York Suburban 0: At Suburban, the Bulldogs scored a goal in each half. Emily Myers and Taylor Gentzler each scored for West York. Eliana Craft made six saves for Suburban. The Bulldogs also won the JV game, 2-1.

Littlestown 6, Biglerville 0: At Littlestown, Hannah Bowers led the Thunderbolts by scoring two goals.

Hanover 3, Fairfield 2: At Fairfield, Avery Martz had a goal and an assist to lead Hanover.
