FIELD HOCKEY: Central York, Susquehannock pick up shutout wins

Central York 3, Spring Grove 0: At Central York, the home side broke open a 1-0 halftime game by scoring twice in the second half. The Panthers got two goals and an assist from Greta Plappert and another goal from Amanda Miller. Rockets' goalie Camille Lecrone stopped six shots. Central also won the JV game, 2-0.

Susquehannock 5, York Suburban 0: At Suburban, the Warriors got goals from Emily Houska, Camryn Burke, Brooke Morris, Abby Grim and Ellie Lindauer in the shutout win. Susquehannock improved to 5-1 in York-Adams Division II.

Gettysburg 5, Kennard-Dale 1: At Fawn Grove, after building a 2-0 halftime lead, the York-Adams Division II leaders scored three more times in the second half to knock off the Rams. Madi Hirneisen and Emily Spangler each scored twice for Gettysburg. Bailey Sisler scored the only goal for K-D, with Elizabeth Six adding the assist.

Bermudian Springs 10, Fairfield 1: At Fairfield, Mackenzie Farley poured in six goals, while Nicki Wolf and Morgan Williams added two each to lead the Eagles.

Red Lion 7, Northeastern 1: At Manchester, the visitors dominated. No other details were available.
