FIELD HOCKEY: Orwig's hat trick carries Red Lion over Spring Grove

Red Lion 7, Spring Grove 0: At Red Lion, Gill Orwig led the Lions by recording a hat trick and picking up an assist. Also for Red Lion, Marisa Beiler scored two goals, Kynslee Shepherd picked up two assists and Amy Maciejewski and McKayla Cooley each scored one goal. Emily Gillman and Jayla Godfrey each added one assist. The Lions' defense held the Rockets to one shot on goal. Red Lion won the JV match, 4-0.

Kennard-Dale 2, West York 0: At Fawn Grove, Morgan Bowings and Calie Swegon scored just seven minutes apart in the first half. Emmie Dressel and Liz Six added assists. West York goalie Chloe Smith made three saves.

South Western 2, Dover 0: At Dover, Montana Utz scored both goals for the Mustangs, one each in the first and second half, to earn her team the win over the Eagles. Lilly Soullaird and Taylor Bull each had assists in the game. The Dover keeper made 11 saves in the game.

New Oxford 2, Central York 0: At New Oxford, Kaelyn Long and Braxtin Reddinger scored first-half goals for the Colonials. Both teams entered 2-1 in York-Adams Division I. The JV match ended 0-0.

Gettysburg 10, York Suburban 0: At Suburban, Madi Hirneisen had three of Gettysburg's goals. Suburban goalie Eliana Craft made 18 saves. Gettyburg also won the JV game, 5-0.

Delone Catholic 2, Biglerville 0: At McSherrystown, Mikayla McCleaf and Tiffany Small scored Delone's goals.

Bermudian Springs 7, Hanover 0: At York Springs, Mcakenzie Farley had four goals for Bermudian.
