There are three new York College Athletic Hall of Famers, including Northeastern High School graduate Ashley Swope.

The York athletic department announced Monday that Tim Bohlman and Chris Brower will join Swope for induction into the school's 28th hall-of-fame class.

Swope, a 2005 York College graduate, ended his career as one of the most feared sluggers in the Capital Athletic Conference. Swope graduated ranked in the top five in five different offensive categories for York. He is still ranked fourth in RBIs (154), fourth in doubles (55), fourth in total bases (368), fifth in hits (235) and fifth in home runs (22).

Swope concluded his career as a .365 hitter in 173 games with 169 starts. He scored 145 runs and had a .571 career slugging percentage and a .407 on-base percentage. Swope was the 2001 CAC Rookie of the Year, when he hit .346 with 35 runs scored, 10 doubles six home runs and 39 RBIs in 37 games. He was a four-time All-CAC selection and ended his career fifth in the CAC in all-time doubles.

Chris Brower: Brower enters the hall as one of the all-time great pitchers in York baseball history.

Brower, a 2007 graduate, still has his name all over the York record book 11 years after his graduation. Brower ranks first in school history in wins (27), innings pitched (326 2/3) and strikeouts (242). He was the 2007 Daniel J. Klinedinst Award winner, when he was 8-3 with a 1.62 ERA in 94 1/3 innings, helping the Spartans go 32-14 and advance to an NCAA Division III regional final. Brower was also named the 2007 CAC Male Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Brower was a four-time All-CAC selection and was a two-time All-South Region selection. Brower owns the single-season strikeouts mark (82 in 2007) and innings-pitched record (94 1/3 in 2007) at York. He is second in school wins (nine in 2006) and third in school victories (eight in 2007).

Tim Bohlman: Bohlman, a 2008 York College graduate, was a two-time NCAA Division III All-American in wrestling and a three-time national qualifier during his four-year York career from 2003-2007. He accumulated 88 career wins, good for ninth place on the school's all-time list. He won 35 matches in 2006-07, which ranks him fifth on the school's single-season list.

Bohlman was the Metropolitan Wrestling Conference 133-pound champion in 2005 and a key part of the 2005-06 Spartan squad that won the Metropolitan Conference championship and earned a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Division III Championships.

Bohlman was a national qualifier in 2005 at 133-pounds, in 2006 as a 141-pounder and in 2007 as a 149-pounder. He was an All-American in 2006 and again in 2007.

The trio will be officially inducted on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Heritage Hills Resort in York.
