Three York College men's lacrosse seniors have been invited to play in the 2018 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association NCAA Division III Senior All-Star Game in Boston on Friday.

The 77th edition of the game will be played at Providence College's Chapey Field at 5:30 pm.

Seniors Joey Fiorino, Dillon Hannah and Matt Whitcher will represent the Spartans. They are three of the 33 members of the South team.

The three seniors are part of the most successful class in Spartan history. They helped lead York a 64-20 record over the last four seasons.

The trio each earned first-team All-Capital Athletic Conference honors earlier in the month.

Fiorino was a four-time All-CAC player and was the lynchpin on defene that allowed 6.82 goals per game. He finished the year with 43 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers.

Hannah finished his senior year with 44 points on 32 goals and 12 assists.

Whitcher tallied 48 points on 35 goals and 13 assists. He added 58 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers.

York  finished the year with a school-record 19 wins, advancing to the NCAA quarterfinals for the second time in school history.

Oberholtzer, Brosius honored for baseball exploits: York College baseball players Grant Oberholtzer and Seth Brosius picked up some more postseason hardware when they both collected ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-South Region honors on Tuesday.

Oberholtzer earned first team All-South honors, while Brosius was picked for the second team. Earlier in the week, Oberholtzer and Brosius were recognized as D3Baseball.com all-region honorees.

Oberholtzer finished the year hitting .407 with 57 runs scored, 17 doubles, five home runs and 39 RBIs. He collected a team-high 106 total bases with a .599 slugging percentage, while his on-base percentage of .483 led the club. He earned first-team All-CAC honors earlier in the month.

Brosius finished his Spartan career hitting .353 with 48 RBIs, 43 runs scored, 17 doubles and five home runs. He fashioned a slugging percentage of .545 while his on-base percentage was .421. He was named to the All-CAC squad for the second time in his career earlier in the month. He is now a two-time all-regional pick.
