The York College women's basketball team is now 3 for 3 against Frostburg State this season.
The Spartans downed the Bobcats, 66-61, on Tuesday night at the Grumbacher Center's Charles Wolf Gymnasium.
The victory advances York to a Capital Athletic Conference semifinal battle at No. 2 seed Christopher Newport (22-3) at 6 p.m. Thursday.
The Spartans beat CNU 87-85 in Newport News, Virginia, on Saturday in the regular-season finale for both teams.
No. 3 seed York improved to 18-8 overall, while No. 6 seed Frostburg finished at 12-14. Three of the Bobcats' losses came at the hands of the Spartans.
Dallastown High School graduate Katie McGowan powered York with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Susquehannock High School graduate Katie Wagner added 14 points, five rebounds and three assists. She was 5 for 9 from the field.
The difference in the game came at the foul line, where York outscored Frostburg, 20-12.
The Spartans won despite committing 18 turnovers, compared to 13 for Frostburg. York did hold a 54-43 edge in rebounding.
Both teams struggled in the shooting department. York shot 34 percent from the field, but held Frostburg to only 28 percent shooting.
