YORK COLLEGE: Spartans' men's team tops Penn State Harrisburg to improve to 14-0 on season


The York College men's basketball team improved to 14-0 on Wednesday with an 88-78 triumph over visiting Penn State Harrisburg.

The first-place Spartans are now 7-0 in Capital Athletic Conference action. Penn State Harrisburg fell to 5-9 and 1-6.


Dalton Myers poured in 25 points for the Spartans, who are ranked No. 8 in NCAA Division III in the latest d3hoops.com poll. Central York High School graduate Jared Wagner added 17 points and five assists.

Jason Bady (13 points), Blayde Reich (10) and Matt Scamuffo (10) also reached double digits for York.

Spartan women triumph: The York College women's team improved to 6-1 in the Capital Athletic Conference with a 79-65 victory over PSH.

The Spartans are now 10-4 overall. PSH fell to 5-9 and 0-7. 

Susquehannock High School graduate Katie Wagner and York Country Day grad Logynn Fuller led York with 18 points each. Dallastown grad Katie McGowan added 12 points and six rebounds, while Sam Mocniak added 10 points.
