York College's Autumn Mallory picks up pair of weekly honors for field hockey exploits

York College field hockey forward Autumn Mallory picked up a pair of honors for her stellar performances last week.

Autumn Mallory scored all three goals for the York College field hockey team in its 3-1 win over Johns Hopkins on Wednesday, Sept. 27.

Mallory, a senior, was named the Capital Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week as well as being named the Spartan Athlete of the Week by the school.

It marks the second time this season Mallory has earned each award.

Mallory helped the Spartans to a pair of victories by first registering a natural hat trick during the first half of York's 3-1 victory against Johns Hopkins. She was as efficient as can be in that game, scoring on each of her three shots.

Mallory also added a goal in York's victory vs. Wesley later in the week. She finished her run with four goals on seven shots. Two of those goals proved to be the game-winners for the Spartans.

For the season, Mallory leads the Spartans with 21 points on 10 goals and an assist. Her points and goals totals also rank first in the CAC. Mallory has four game-winning goals this season.
