Red Lion High grad Ali Posey joins exclusive York College field hockey club

Red Lion High School graduate Ali Posey joined some elite company over the weekend.
Posey, a senior, became just the third York College field hockey player to eclipse the 100-point mark for her career.
In York's 6-1 triumph over visiting Shenandoah University on Saturday, Sept. 9, Posey capped the scoring with just under five minutes remaining when she converted a penalty stroke. York improved to 2-1, while Shenandoah fell to 3-1.
Posey now has 44 career goals, along with 13 assists.
Jaclyn Russell (136 points, 2000 grad) and April McFarland (115 points, 2009 grad) are the other two members of York's 100-point club.
Autumn Mallory had two goals in the game to lead York.
Spartans’ soccer team shut out by Gettysburg
Spartans blanked by unbeaten Gettysburg in men's soccer: The York College Spartan men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to an undefeated Gettysburg College Bullets squad in a non-conference contest on Sunday afternoon in York.
The loss came less than 20 hours after the Spartans played a scoreless double-overtime tie against Stevenson on Saturday evening. York is now 2-1-1. Gettysburg is 4-0.
