York College field hockey team earns first win with overtime victory over Dickinson

The York College field hockey team cracked the win column for the first time in 2017 in dramatic fashion on Wednesday, Sept. 6.
Taking on Dickinson, the Spartans dominated play from the start, ultimately finding the winning goal in the first overtime period to earn a 1-0 win. York is now 1-1, while the Red Devils fell to 2-1.
Autumn Mallory provided the winner, scoring with just more than four minutes to go in the first OT frame.
The Spartans out-shot Dickinson, 30-10.
Women's volleyball team falls to McDaniel: The York women's volleyball team dropped its first match of the season, losing to McDaniel, 25-20, 25-17, 27-29, 25-17.
The Spartans are now 4-1, while the Green Terror improved to 4-1.
Cheyenne Altland led the Spartans with nine kills, while Hannah Siaurusaitis, Brooke Krebs and Madyson Whitcomb each finished with eight. Gabby Emeigh totaled 18 assists and Molly McCann had 15. Alexis Harbold finished with a team-high 25 digs.
