The York College baseball team, with big contributions from former York-Adams standouts, snapped a five-game losing streak on Wednesday with an impressive 5-0 victory over a strong Randolph-Macon outfit.
The Spartans improved to 16-17, while Randolph-Macon dropped to 24-11.
Joel Kenney got the win, going 6 2/3 innings and allowing six hits and one walk, with three strikeouts. Jeff Noss got the save with 2 1/3 innings of hitless relief.
Bermudian Springs High School graduate Michael Moore homered and drove in three runs for York, while Kennard-Dale grad Collin Crowell also homered. York Catholic grad Patrick Clement was 2 for 2 with two walks and a run scored. Christian Bilan added three hits for the Spartans, while Zach Hossler added two hits.
