YORK COLLEGE: Katie Wagner powers women's team to win

Susquehannock High School graduate Katie Wagner matched a career high with 20 points to lead the York College women's basketball team to a 58-43 triumph over visiting Penn State Harrisburg on Wednesday night.
Wagner was 6 for 14 from the field and also had four rebounds, two assists and two steals.
West York grad Sarah Shearer added 10 points and six rebounds for the Spartans. She was 4 for 6 from the field. Sam Hruz chipped in seven points, 12 rebounds, eight blocks and six assists. Her eight blocks also tied a career high.
York improved to 13-5 overall and 7-4 in the Capital Athletic Conference. Penn State Harrisburg fell to 4-14 and 2-9.
York men fall: The York men weren't as fortunate as the women's team, falling to Penn State Harrisburg, 54-53.
Central York High School graduate Jared Wagner had a strong game for the Spartans with 11 points, seven rebounds, four steals and three assists off the bench. Wagner was the only York player in double figures. The Spartans shot just 27 percent from the floor.
York felll to 11-7 overall and 6-5 in the CAC. Penn State Harrisburg is 8-10 and 5-6.
