York College falls in CAC field hockey semifinals

The York College field hockey team was knocked out of the Capital Athletic Conference tournament in the semifinals by Salisbury on Wednesday evening, 5-0.

The Spartans (13-6) held No. 2-ranked team in NCAA Division III scoreless through the first half, but were blitzed for five goals by the Gulls (15-1) in the second half.
The Gulls outshot the Spartans 33-3 and also held a 14-1 corner advantage. York goalie Eve Hauptle made 16 saves.
