The York College men's soccer team easily took care of Wesley on Wednesday evening, winning 4-0 in a Capital Athletic Conference clash.

The Spartans improved to 6-7-2 overall and 3-3-1 in the CAC. The loss dropped Wesley to 3-9-2 overall and 1-6 in the CAC.

Ryan Ockford opened the game's scoring in the 21st minute, netting his fifth goal of the season midway through the first half. Then, Jordan Evans and Ali Demiri each scored their first goals of the season three minutes apart to give the Spartans a 3-0 lead going into the break. Joel Teston scored in the 52nd minute to make it 4-0 York. Goalie Charlie Johnson made five saves to keep his clean sheet.

Women's volleyball team sweeps Goucher: The York College women's volleyball team dispatched Goucher on Wednesday, 25-16, 25-14, 25-17.

Eryn Brady led the Spartans (20-7) with nine kills, while South Western grad Hannah McMaster led the team with 13 digs. Spring Grove grad Heather Secrist and West York grad Alexis Harbold both tallied 10 digs. Sarah Wukitch finished with a match-high 14 assists.

Big second half lifts women's soccer team to win: The York College women's soccer team scored four times in the second half to break a 1-1 halftime deadlock and knock off Wesley, 5-1.

Maxine Herman did much of the damage for the Spartans (6-9-1, 4-4-0 CAC) in the second half, scoring the first three goals out of the break in a 10-minute span to break the game open. Corie Elliott also scored. Wesley (4-10-1, 0-8-0) opened the scoring in the eighth minute. Caitlin Rankin leveled the score for the Spartans in the 37th minute.
