His goal on Oct. 1 broke a scoreless tie and held up as the eventual game-winner in a 3-0 victory against visiting Marymount. Bilbie scored in the 34th minute before Sam Johnson and Matt Freibaum added goals in the Spartans' lone match of the week.

His goal was his fourth in the last four games for York (4-5-1, 1-1-0 CAC). The sophomore leads the Spartans with five goals on the season. Bilbie shared the honor with Mary Washington’s Christian Trout.

Nye nabs another weekly award: York College field hockey sophomore Lindsay Nye was named the Capital Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday.

Her week began with a goal and an assist in a non-conference victory against Johns Hopkins and ended with a two-goal effort in a CAC victory at home against Wesley.

Nye is now the CAC leader in both goals (13) and points (30) and has scored at least one goal in eight straight contests. She has also registered at least one point in every Spartan match this season.

Nye was also named the Spartan Athlete of the Week.
