YORK COLLEGE: Nye leads field hockey team to OT win

The York College field hockey team got a five-goal performance from sophomore Lindsay Nye to propel it to a 5-4 overtime victory at Dickinson College on Wednesday in Carlisle.
The five goals for Nye were her first goals of the young season, adding to her two assists that she picked up in the team's first two games.
The Spartans improved to 3-0, while the Red Devils fell to 1-2.
Nye notched her fifth goal of the contest just more than a minute into overtime to secure the win for York.
Red Lion grad Ali Posey was the only other Spartan to register a point, assisting on Nye's first goal.
Spartans sweep women's volleyball tri-matches: The York College women's volleyball team won both of its matches on Wednesday in the Lancaster Bible College Tri-Match.
The Spartans (5-1) took down Lancaster Bible College, 26-24, 25-21, 25-20. In that match, York finished with 38 kills, seven of which came from Eryn Brady. Former Hanover grads Hannah McMaster and Brooke Krebs combined for 11 kills.
The Spartans defeated Wilkes 25-16, 25-13, 25-19. York finished with a 38-16 advantage in kills, led by Krebs' 10. West York grad Alexis Harbold finished with 19 digs.
