York College golfers sixth at Lynchburg Invitational
- York College places sixth of nine teams.
- Tyler Newton finished T-4 with a two-day total of 149, one shot off first place.

The York College golf team finished sixth out of nine teams at the Lynchburg College Invitational at Poplar Grove Golf Club in Amherst, Virginia, on Tuesday.
Marymount captured the crown with a two-day team total of 611 (309-302). Shepherd (615) was second, followed by North Carolina Wesleyan (616), SUNY-Delhi (629), Averett (635), the Spartans (639), Eastern Mennonite (659), the hosts (660) and The Apprentice School (677).
York's Tyler Newton added a 76 to his first-round 73 for a 5-over-par, two-day total of 149, placing him fourth. That total was one shot back of Marymount’s Keegan Boone, Shepherd’s Ryan Crabtree and North Carolina Wesleyan's David White, who were tied for individual medalist honors.
Brandon Hur’s 162 (82-80) was the next best Spartans finish, with Hur finishing in a tie for 27th place.
