York College's Randy Frankenfield recognized by CAC

York College junior pitcher Randy Frankenfield earned Capital Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week honors for games ending on March 20.
In Frankenfield's first start for the Spartans after returning to the starting rotation from injury, he threw six shutout innings in York's 8-0 CAC victory over St. Mary's on Wednesday. In the game, he struck out six, allowing just one hit and walking two. The lone hit came with two outs in the top of the sixth. He retired the first 10 hitters he faced before surrendering a walk in the top of the fourth.
On the season, Frankenfield is 1-0 with a 2.12 ERA in 17 innings. He's averaging a strikeout per inning and has issued just six walks, while opposing batters are hitting just .238 off of him.
The Spartans are 6-12 overall, but 4-2 in conference play and are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Johns Hopkins for a 3:30 p.m. game.
