No. 6 York College men's lacrosse team improves to 6-0

The York College men's lacrosse team is still perfect.

The Spartans improved to 6-0 on the season on Wednesday with a 6-0 triumph over visiting Elizabethtown. The Blue Jays fell to 4-3.

York entered the game ranked No. 6 in NCAA Division III in the latest United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Coaches Poll.

Matt Whitcher paced the Spartans with three goals, while Hunter Davis and Dillon Hannah each added two goals. Cameron Leech (goal, two assists) and Joseph Joseph (goal, assist) also enjoyed multiple-point games for the winners.

York goalie Caleb Abney improved to 6-0 on the season by making seven saves on 12 shots in 56 minutes of work.

The Spartans outshot Elizabethtown by a whopping 50-16 margin.

York men score another lacrosse upset

York will next participate in the highly competitive Green Turtle Classic at Stevenson University in Owings Mills, Maryland, on Friday (vs. Nazareth) and Saturday (vs. Lynchburg). Both of those foes are ranked in D-III by the USILA. Nazareth is No. 9 and Lynchburg is No. 14.
