York College junior forward Sam Hruz earned another postseason award when she was named to the D3hoops.com All-Mid-Atlantic regional team.
The 6-foot, 1-inch Hruz earned first-team All-Capital Athletic Conference honors three weeks ago and was one of four CAC players to earn a spot on the regional second team.
Hruz finished the year averaging 10.7 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.2 blocked shots and 2.8 assists per game. She started all 27 games for the 20-7 Spartans. Hruz led the team with eight double-doubles.
"Sam played well throughout the year," York College head coach Betsy Witman said in a news release. "Her ability to defend the interior and rebound played a huge role in our success. Sam's ability to make plays made us a much better team this year. I am looking forward to see what she can accomplish as a senior."
Hruz ranks fourth in the CAC in rebounds per game, first in blocked shots per game, sixth in steals per game and 15th in points per game. She was a two-time CAC Player of the Week.
Hruz enters her senior year with 716 career points, 476 rebounds, 195 assists, 179 blocks and 141 steals in 83 career games for York. She is five blocked shots short of tying Kristen Haley's school record of 184.
