The struggling York College baseball team, with some help from some former York-Adams League standouts, stormed back from an early 8-1 deficit to earn a much-needed victory over Stevenson during a beautiful Thursday afternoon at Jaquet Field.

The Spartans improved to 3-9, while Stevenson fell to 4-6.

York piled up 17 hits on the day and played flawless defense in the field

Logan Countryman (two hits including a homer, three RBIs, two runs scored), Zach Hossler (three hits, two RBIs, two runs), Patrick Clement (three hits, double, two runs), Sean Mohollen (three hits, double, RBI), Colin Crowell (two hits, double, three runs, two RBIs) and Seth Brosius (triple, two RBIs) powered the York offense.

Clement is a York Catholic High School graduate, while Crowell graduated from Kennard-Dale High School.

Chris Wolf (1-1) picked up the win in relief, going four innings and allowing just one run on three hits.
