Two days after snapping its five-game losing streak, the York College baseball team dropped another game late, losing to Rowan University, 10-5 in eight innings on Monday.

The Spartans (2-8) held a 5-3 advantage going into the bottom of the sixth inning, but gave up seven unanswered runs over the final three frames.

The Profs' big inning came in the bottom of the sixth, when they scored four times to erase the two-run deficit and open a two-run lead over York. An insurance run in the bottom of the seventh and then two more in the bottom of the eighth sealed the game for Rowan (2-3). The game was called following the eighth inning because of darkness.

Sean Mohollen drove in two of the Spartans' five runs, while Logan Countryman, Steve Miller and Colllin Crowell each drove in one.

The Spartans will be back in action on Wednesday, when they play their home opener against Rutgers-Camden at 3 p.m.
