The York College women's basketball team saw its dreams of a Capital Athletic Conference title come to an end on Thursday night with a 61-52 loss at Marymount.
The fourth-seeded Spartans fell to 20-7 overall, while top-seeded Marymount improved to 22-4. Marymount is ranked No. 25 in NCAA Division III in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
York led 46-39 entering the fourth quarter, but was outscored 22-6 in the final period.
Red Lion High School graduate Morgan Kuehne led York with 12 points, while Sam Hruz added 11 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three blocks.
Nicole Viscuso (16 points ), Miranda Krott (14 points, 12 rebounds) and Leah Hurst (13 points, six assists, four steal) led Marymount.
The Spartans had 19 turnovers, while Marymount had just nine, and York also got beaten on the boards, 35-28.
