Two York College basketball players have been honored by the Capital Athletic Conference.
Junior Dalton Myers has earned CAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week accolades for the second time this year after powering the Spartans to a 72-66 CAC win against Mary Washington in the Spartans' lone game of the week. Myers tallied 20 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the floor and an 8-for-11 performance from the free throw line. The 6-foot, 7-inch forward also pulled in five rebounds and dished out two assists to help York improve to 6-2 overall and 2-1 in CAC play.
Junior Sam Hruz and Salisbury senior Julia McLaughlin were selected as the CAC Women's Basketball Co-Players of the Week. Hruz averaged a double-double in two wins to help the Spartans remain unbeaten on the year. For the week, the 6-1 forward/guard averaged 15.0 points, 14.0 rebounds, 4.0 blocked shots, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals.
