The York College men's golf team finished third in the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament played at James River Country Club in Newport News, Virginia, over the weekend.

The Spartans' two-day team total of 622 (320-302) saw them finish 62 strokes over par for the tournament, 16 strokes behind second-place Penn State Harrisburg and 47 strokes behind champion Christopher Newport.

Individually for the Spartans, Ryan Wolbach finished tied for third, shooting a two-day total 145 (76-69), finishing 5 over par of the tournament.

Also for York, David Boslough finished 12th, shooting a 157 (81-76), Alex Colton (82-80) and Austin Parker (85-77) tied for 15th with 162 totals, while Tyler Keim tied for 18th with a 164 total (81-83).

Other YORK college note

Spartans down Franklin and Marshall in baseball: Three runs in both the fourth and fifth innings helped the York baseball team knock off the Franklin and Marshall Diplomats, 7-3, at Jaquet Field on Sunday on Senior Day.

The three-run innings opened up a 7-0 lead for the Spartans.

Christian Bilan was the big hitter for York, going 2-for-4 with three RBIs.

Andrew Tucci earned the win for York, throwing seven innings, surrendering two runs on seven hits and two strikeouts. Dan Gurganus and Zach Philippi each tossed an inning in relief. Gurganus gave up the third and final F&M run in the eighth, while Philippi pitched a perfect ninth to close out the win.

The victory snapped a three-game losing streak for the Spartans and improved their record to 12-15 overall. F&M fell to 22-8.
