York College senior women's lacrosse defender Karlie Dougherty has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Defender of the Week.

Karlie Dougherty led the Spartans to a pair of CAC wins for the week. York allowed a total of eight goals in two games.

Against Frostburg State, Dougherty tied a school record with seven caused turnovers while she also had seven ground balls and three draw controls. Against Southern Virginia, Dougherty had four draw controls.

For the season, Dougherty leads the Spartans in draw controls (44) while she is second in ground balls (32) and caused turnovers (18). Dougherty has added three goals.
