Four-star defensive back Jordan Miner commits to Penn State
The Penn State football team received a commitment from a four-star defensive back in the Class of 2018 on Thursday.
Jordan Miner, a 6-foot-1 defensive back from Florida, announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions on Twitter.
“And finally I would like to thank all of the coaches that took a chance on Me in this recruiting process,” Miner posted in a note on Twitter. “But after all this time and prayer I have decided that it is best for me to attend college at ...... Penn State.”
Miner is rated a four-star recruit by Scout, 247Sports and Rivals. The Wiregrass Ranch High School (Fla.) defensive back chose Penn State over Florida, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Maryland, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Rutgers and Pittsburgh, among others.
Miner finished with 38 tackles, hauled in three interceptions and forced a fumble last season for Wiregrass Ranch, near Tampa, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
Penn State now has 14 known commitments for the Class of 2018.
