Penn State-Maryland game on Oct. 24 set to kick off at 3:30 p.m.


Penn State's Big Ten Conference clash against Maryland in Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 24, will kick off at 3:30 p.m.

The game will air on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2, with the televising network to be announced after this week's games.

Maryland will be playing its first game under interim head coach Mike Locksley, who took over after Susquehannock High School graduate Randy Edsall was fired on Sunday. The Terrapins are 2-4 overall and 0-2 in the Big Ten.

Penn State and Maryland will meet for the 39th time and the second time as Big Ten East Division rivals. The teams, who began playing annually starting last year, first met in 1917 and met last year for the first time since 1993. The Nittany Lion and Terrapins will be meeting in Baltimore for the fourth time (1987, 1989, 1991), but the first time in M&T Bank Stadium, home of the NFL's Baltimore Ravens.

The Nittany Lions (5-1 overall, 2-0 Big Ten) visit unbeaten Ohio State at 8 p.m. Saturday for an ABC national telecast before the clash with Maryland.
