Penn State's game vs. San Diego State set for 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26


UNIVERSITY PARK - Penn State's first meeting with San Diego State on Saturday, Sept. 26, will kick off at 3:30 p.m. and be televised on the Big Ten Network. The game is the third of five consecutive games at Beaver Stadium.

Penn State picked up a 27-14 win over Buffalo in the home opener on Sunday, led by a 115-yard rushing performance by freshman Saquon Barkley. Senior Carl Nassib was a dominating force for the defense against the Bulls, collected 3.0 sacks, two forced fumbles and one interception to go along with five total tackles.

The Aztecs are 1-1 on the season with a win over San Diego in the season opener and a loss to California last week. SDSU's defense has provided pop for the Aztecs with six interceptions in the first two games, including two returned for touchdowns by Calvin Munson.

The Nittany Lions open Big Ten play in prime time against Rutgers on Saturday in Beaver Stadium. The game will be the inaugural Penn State Stripe Out.
