Penn State York men's basketball team sees seven-game win streak come to end


The Penn York men's basketball team saw its seven-game winning streak come to a halt on Tuesday evening with an 85-66 loss at Penn State Brandywine.


Both teams entered the game unbeaten in Penn State University Athletic Conference action.

PSY fell to 7-2 overall and 4-1 in the PSUAC, while Brandywine improved to 6-2 and 3-0.

Susquehannock High School graduate Richard Grant paced the local Lions with 20 points and six rebounds. He was 10 for 13 from the field. New Oxford graduate Jordin Brown added 15 points for the Yorkers, while Northeastern grad Derrick Hoffman added 12 points. 

PSY women fall: In women's action, Penn State Brandywine routed Penn State York, 57-36. Emily Colon led PSY's offense with 16 points. PSY fell to 4-5 overall and 2-2 in the PSUAC.
