The York College women's soccer team captured a 2-1 nonleague triumph over visiting Elizabethtown College on Wednesday.
The Spartans moved to 3-6 on the season, while Elizabethtown fell to 4-2-1.
Erin Baier and Natalie McCarthy scored the goals, with McCarthy's tally at the 82:47 mark of the second half breaking a 1-1 tie. Georgia Gilchrist and Rori Englert had York assists.
Jill Kozak got the win in goal, making three saves.

York's Koller honored by CAC: York College sophomore golfer Jordan Koller has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week.
Koller led the Spartans to a pair of season-opening tournament victories this past week. The Spartans opened the week by winning the Gettysburg Fall Invitational on Sunday afternoon. Koller was the top Spartan finisher as she placed second of 46 golfers with a two-day total of 154. Koller shot a 76 in the opening round followed by a 78 on Sunday.
The Spartans then recorded a win at the Bridgewater Invitational, winning the tournament by 19 strokes. Koller shot a two-day total of 155 as she fired a 76 on Monday followed by a 79 on Tuesday to finish fifth.
Susquehannock grad recognized by PSAC: Susquehannock High School graduate Abdallah Bangura was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Western Division Athlete of the Week. He's a sophomore midfielder for Slippery Rock University. In Slippery Rock's 4-0 win over the University of the District Columbia, Bangura had two goals and an assist.
York triumphs in women's volleyball: At York College, the Spartans won the nonconference match-up on Wednesday, 25-20, 25-18, 25-19. Claire Shorb led the Spartans individually with seven kills and seven digs. Also for York, Madyson Whitcomb had seven kills and three digs, Abby Diehl had 29 assists, three aces and 10 digs and Lydia Stump had three kills, three aces and 15 digs. York is 8-8.
York evens field hockey record: The York College field hockey team evened its record at 4-4 on Wednesday with a 4-2 victory over Susquehanna, which fell to 2-7. Meghan Heary had two goals for York. Reese Hardman and Dana Meehling scored once each.
Penn State York loses in men's soccer: The Penn State York men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to visiting Penn State Mont Alto on Wednesday. The local Lions fell to 1-5-1 overall and 1-3 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference. Jose Salazar scored York's goal.
York volleyball team wins: The York College volleyball team earned its third win in their last four games by beating Penn State Berks 25-16, 25-18, 25-21 in nonconference action on Tuesday night in Reading. York is now 7-8, while PSU Berks fell to 6-8. The York leaders were Bermudian Springs grad Madyson Whitcomb (11 kills), Dover grad Abby Diehl (19 assists, nine digs) and Emily Pupo (11 digs).
PSY falls in volleyball: The Penn State York volleyball team fell to Penn State Brandywine on Tuesday, 25-23, 25-10, 25-14. The local Lions fell to 3-6 overall and 2-4 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.
