York College players sweep weekly Capital Athletic Conference men's lacrosse awards

York College swept the Capital Athletic Conference weekly men's lacrosse honors on Monday.

Senior goalie Landry Marshall is the CAC Defensive Player of the Week, while senior midfielder Ryan Cook is the CAC Offensive Player of the Week.

Marshall led the Spartans (8-1) to a 15-6 win over then-No. 7 Salisbury in York's lone game of the week. Marshall limited the Gulls to six goals, making nine saves in his 60 minutes in the cage. The six goals were Salisbury's lowest offensive output in their last 59 games dating back to 2015.

For the season, Marshall is 8-1 with a 5.71 goals-against average and a .524 save percentage.

Cook, meanwhile, notched a career-high five points vs. Salisbury, tallying three goals and a pair of assists. He scored his three goals on just three shots. Cook also picked up a pair of ground balls.

For the year, Cook has 21 points on seven goals and 14 assists.

Cook was also named York's Spartan Athlete of the Week.

The Spartans remain ranked No. 2 nationally in NCAA Division III in the latest United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association poll. RIT (8-0) is still No. 1. Salisbury (6-3) dropped to No. 11.

The York women's lacrosse team (4-2) is still ranked No. 5 nationally in NCAA Division III by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association. Gettysburg (6-0) is No. 1, followed by Middlebury, Salisbury, The College of New Jersey and York.
