Spring Grove High School graduate Levi Krause, a junior third baseman for California University of Pennsylvania, has been named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association All-Atlantic Region First Team.
It was the first time Krause earned the honor.
Krause led the team and ranked seventh in the Atlantic Region with nine homers this season. He also finished third in the region with 107 total bases and registered a .682 slugging percentage while boasting a .382 batting average (60-for-157).
Krause, who also started 16 games in the middle of the infield because of injuries, shattered his career highs in every statistical category this spring by also totaling 19 doubles, 38 RBIs and 45 runs scored. The Spring Grove product was one of only 24 players in NCAA Division II to belt at least three homers in a game this season.
