Red Lion High School graduate Amanda Myers is bound for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
The event will be held May 25-27 in Bradenton, Florida.
Myers is no stranger to the national championships. In fact, it marks the third trip for the Millersville University junior javelin thrower.
Myers earned All-America Second Team status last season and heads to the 2017 championships with a top throw of 153 feet, 9 inches. That mark ranks fifth in the 21-athlete field.
Myers had previosly earned All-Region honors from from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Myers was third at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships, with a throw of 138-1. She also placed fourth in the hammer throw at the PSAC Championships with a career-best effort of 163-3.
