York Catholic grad Morgan Klunk honored by PSAC
York Catholic High School graduate Morgan Klunk has been honored by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.
The Felton woman was selected to the All-PSAC Women's Basketball Second Team for her efforts at Bloomsburg University.
The 5-foot, 9-inch Klunk was the team's leading scorer at 13.2 points per game and reached 1,000 career points on Feb. 4 vs. Shippensburg. The senior started every game this season and scored a career-high 26 points in a win against Mansfield on Feb. 15. She also averaged 4.9 rebounds per game.
Klunk finished her Bloomsburg career with 1,116 points, good for 20th on the school's all-time scoring list. Klunk is also 10th on the all-time assists list with 295.
Bloomsburg finished 11-17 overall and 9-13 in the PSAC, but the Huskies won 10 of their final 15 games after a 1-12 start.
During Klunk's four years at Bloomsburg, the team compiled a 76-41 career record, including two PSAC East Division titles and two trips to the NCAA Division II Regional Final.
