Central York High School graduates Summer McIntyre and Jade Arganbright enjoyed record-breaking nights in the pool on Friday for California University of Pennsylvania.
McIntyre, a sophomore, and Arganbright, a senior, both set school records when the Vulcans earned a 114-70 win in a dual meet at Juniata. The Vulcans improved to 5-1.
Arganbright swam the 100 freestyle as an exhibition and broke the pool record with a time of 59.76 seconds, which eclipsed the mark previously set by current Cal U. volunteer assistant Rachel Sepesy in 2005. Arganbright earned the victory in the 50 freestyle by more than 2.5 seconds after touching the wall in 27.88 seconds.
McIntrye posted the win and set the pool record in the 400 individual medley on Friday with a time of 5:26.46.
