The Penn State York baseball team had a good opportunity to come away with at least one win in Tuesday's doubleheader, but came up empty, instead.

Taking on Penn State Brandywine on the road, the Local Lions (3-13) blew a 6-4 lead in the bottom of the seventh, suffering a 7-6 loss in the second game of the doubleheader. PSY jumped out to a 5-0 lead with a five-run top of the third and then added to it with a run in the top of the fourth. However, PSU Brandywine slowly chipped away at the lead, scoring three times in the bottom of the fourth, once more in the bottom of the sixth and then scored the tying and winning runs in the final frame. Montieth Walker and Nicholas Schuler each drove in two runs in the loss for the Local Lions.

In the first game of the day, PSY was blanked, 3-0. Thomas Hunter suffered the loss for the Local Lions, getting no offensive support from his teammates. He pitched a complete game, allowing the three runs, all earned, on six hits, three walks and three strikeouts.
