York Catholic grad Thad Cwiklinski earns recognition

York Catholic High School graduate Thad Cwiklinski, a freshman at Gettysburg College, has been named the Centennial Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week..
Cwiklinski, who is from Glen Rock, contributed to three victories while helping the Bullets capture the team title by 39 points at the 68th annual Little Three Meet, hosted by Gettysburg. He came from behind in the homestretch to win the 400-meter dash in 51.36 seconds, and he also ran on both the winning 3,200- and 1,600-meter relays. Cwiklinski ran the third leg of the 3,200 that set a meet record in 8:07.67 and competed in the second leg of the 1,600.
For the year, Cwiklinski ranks third on the Centennial Conference leaderboard in the 400 with his season-best time of :51.13.
