The York College softball team was swept in a non-league doubleheader at Messiah on Thursday, falling 3-0 and 8-5.
York fell to 11-5, while Messiah improved to 11-2.
Dallastown High School graduate Ashley Werner went 3 for 7 in the doubleheader for York, including a double, with two RBIs and a run scored.
For Messiah, Dallastown grad Amanda Jones was 2 for 3 in the first game, including a triple, with an RBI and a run scored. In the second game, York Catholic grad Carrie Fix was 2 for 3, including a double, with one RBI and one run scored for the Falcons, who are ranked No. 25 in NCAA Division III by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
