Dallastown grad to compete in NCAA meet
Dallastown High School graduate Phil Sprenkle is set to compete in his first career NCAA Division I Wrestling Tournament.
The Lock Haven University redshirt senior is 18-7 on the season and drew No. 8 seed Aaron Studebaker (21-9) of Nebraska in the opening round of the event set for Thursday, March 17, at New York City's Madison Square Garden. The event runs through Saturday, March 19.
Sprenkle qualified for the NCAA meet by finishing third at the Eastern Wrestling League Championships recently. Sprenkle earned a 5-4 win over Clarion's Dustin Conti in the third-place bout with the NCAA qualifying spot on the line.
