KINGSTON, R.I. — Dallastown High School graduate Four McGlynn matched his career high with 27 points and Rhode Island easily handled Rider 82-57 on Sunday.
McGlynn, a senior transfer who played for Towson and Vermont, averaged 11.6 points coming in and matched a figure he's hit three times previously in his career.
McGlynn made six 3-pointers for the game on 10 attempts, including five in the first half. It was the first time a Rhode Island player had five 3-point baskets in a half since Akeem Richmond did so in the second half against Charlotte on Feb. 12, 2011. It was the fourth time this season McGlynn has made three or more 3-point shots in a game.
McGlynn was also 9 for 11 from the foul line. He added five rebounds and two assists.
Christion Thompson had 11 points and Jared Terrell added 10. Rhode Island improved to 4-2.
Rider (1-5) was led by Xavier Lundy with 12 points and Kahlil Thomas added 10 points with seven rebounds.
