Jared Mitchell and Alexi Casilla, the two men at the top of the York Revolution batting order, led the Revs to an 8-5 victory over Southern Maryland on Tuesday at PeoplesBank Park.
Mitchell had three hits and three runs scored from his leadoff spot, while Casilla had three hits, three RBIs and a two runs scored from the No. 2 slot.
Mitchell doubled and tripled among his three hits, while Casilla homered.
Ryan Dent also homered for York and finished with two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored.
Melky Mesa added two hits, including a double, with two RBIs for York.
Grant Sides (1-0) pitched 1 2/3 innings of relief without allowing a run to get the win. Junior Rincon pitched a scoreless ninth to get his fourth save.
York improved to 14-12 on the season and is 4 1/2 games behind first-place Lancaster (19-8) in the Atlantic League Freedom Division.
