The York Revolution is off to a strong start in defense of its Atlantic League championship.

The Revs rolled to a 6-0 victory over the Road Warriors on Tuesday night in front of an announced crowd of 1,889 fans at PeoplesBank Park.

York moved to 4-1 on the season. The Revs are a game behind unbeaten Sugar Land (5-0) in the Freedom Division.

Four Revs pitchers combined on an eight-hit shutout. Jay Gause started and went five innings to get the win, allowing three hits. Robert Carson pitched two shutout innings of relief, scattering five hits. Frank De Jiulio Jr. and Jacob Ezell  each added a hitless, scoreless frame.

Luis Cruz homered and drove in three runs for York. Alexi Casilla and Zach Wilson each added two hits for York.

The Revs face the Road Warriors in a day-night doubleheader on Wednesday. The first game starts at 11 a.m., while the second game is slated to start at 6:30 p.m.
