Dozens of Revs fans sent the team off from PeoplesBank Park for game one of the Atlantic League Championship series in Long Island.
Dozens of York Revolution fans gathered outside PeoplesBank Park on Wednesday morning to send the Freedom Division champions off for Game 1 of the Atlantic League title series against the Long Island Ducks.
Revs manager Mark Mason was delighted with the turnout.
"We have the best fans in the league," he said. "It's incredible. We feed off of them ... They want to win, and we want to win for them."
The Atlantic League Championship Series starts with two games hosted by Liberty Division champion Long Island and then a return Friday to York, where the best-of-five series will be determined.
Game 1 and Game 2 in Central Islip, New York, will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27, and Thursday, Sept. 28, respectively.
The series will return to York for Game 3 at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29.
Game 4, if needed, will be 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, and Game 5, if needed, will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, at PeoplesBank Park.
