Over the next several days, the York Revolution baseball team will attempt to win its third Atlantic League championship in the team's 11-year franchise history.

The Revs are now offering their fans an opportunity to give the team a spirited sendoff for its best-of-five title series against the Long Island Ducks.

The sendoff event is set for 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the George Street parking lot at PeoplesBank Park. The team will depart from the parking lot at approximately 8:30 a.m.

The Freedom Division champion Revs will face the Liberty Division champion Ducks in the championship series.

Game 1 and Game 2 are both set for Central Islip, New York, on Wednesday, Sept. 27, and Thursday, Sept. 28, respectively. Both games are set for 6:30 p.m. starts.

The series will return to York for Game 3 at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29.

Game 4, if needed, will be 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, and Game 5, if needed, will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1. Both of those games are also set for PeoplesBank Park.

York recently won the Freedom Division second-half regular-season title. That earned the Revs a berth in the Freedom Division Championship Series against first-half champion Southern Maryland. The Revs won the best-of-five Freedom Division playoff title series over the Crabs, 3-1, to earn a berth in the league title series.

The Revs completed a major turnaround this season after finishing last in the Freedom Division first-half standings.

York is attempting to win its first Atlantic League title since 2011. That was the Revs' second-straight crown after also winning the championship in 2010.

York is 2-0 in its only two appearances in the league title series.
