York Revolution game on Thursday gets rained out

The York Revolution's game at the Somerset Patriots on Thursday evening was rained out.

The date for the rescheduled game has not been determined yet, but will occur in York during the Patriots' final road trip of the 2015 regular season from Sept. 17 through Sept. 20. The game was slated to be a series rubber match. The Revs had won Tuesday's opener, 7-0 before dropping Wednesday's meeting, 6-2. The loss snapped a season-high-tying five-game winning streak for the Revs, who are 4.5 games back in the Freedom Division's second half with a record of 33-25. Thursday's postponement marks the Revs' fifth rainout of the season and first since June 27.

York's road trip will continue on Friday night at Southern Maryland. riday's series-opening date includes the resumption of a game that was suspended because of rain on Aug. 20 at Regency Furniture Stadium. The game will resume, tied 1-1 at the beginning of the sixth inning with first pitch scheduled for 6:05 p.m. The regularly scheduled nine-inning contest will follow with lefty Rommie Lewis (9-10, 4.01) making the start for the Revolution.
