Infielder Andres Perez will represent the York Revolution during the Atlantic League Home Run Derby, which will take place before the league's all-star game on Wednesday at The Ballpark At Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Perez is hitting .284 with three homers and 30 RBIs this season.
Perez is one of six York players slated to compete in the game for the Freedom Division. The others are pitchers Stephen Penney and Logan Williamson, catcher Luis De La Cruz, infielder Bryan Pounds and outfielder Brandon Boggs.
The others competing the Home Run Derby are: Bridgeport's Welington Dotel, Camden's Joel Guzman, Somerset's Scott Cousins, Long Island's Lew Ford, Lancaster's Brian Cavazos-Galvez, York's Andres Perez, Sugar Land's Delwyn Young and Southern Maryland's Jake Opitz.
