LOCAL BASEBALL, WEDNESDAY, JULY 31: Colin Parks pitches Pleasureville to interleague win
Colin Parks pitched a complete-game eight-hitter to carry the Pleasureville Hawks to a 6-2 interleague baseball victory over visiting York Township on Wednesday evening.
Parks struck out three and walked one to lead the Central League team to a win over the Susquehanna League team.
Pleasureville's offense was led by Clint Bohn (two hits, double, two RBIs, one run) and Brad Smith (two hits, double, two runs, one RBI).
For York Township, Derek Pitzer had two hits, including a double, with one run scored, while Tyler Page doubled and scored a run.
CENTRAL LEAGUE GAME
Mount Wolf 6, Dillsburg 2: At Mount Wolf, Kevin Ehrman threw a complete game to get the win, striking out six and walking none.
Mount Wolf's offense was paced by Miles Campbell (three hits, double, two RBIs, one run), Jesse Sargen (two hits, one run) and Zac Stoll (two hits, two RBIs, one run).
For Dillsburg, Brody Madden had two hits, including a double, with one RBI, while Toby Sponseller went 2 for 3.
SUSQUEHANNA LEAGUE GAME
Stewartstown 14, Conrads 8: At Conrads, Cody Brittain led the visitors by going 3 for 4, including a homer, with three RBIs and three runs scored.
Also for Stewartstown, Jason Mitchell went 3 for 5, including a homer, with three runs scored and two RBIs; Jesse Brittain had two doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored; Joey Thomas went 2 for 3 with three runs scored; and Mike Buckery went 2 for 5, including a double, with two RBIs and one run scored. Cody Brittain also started the game on the mound, throwing three innings, while striking out five and walking none. He allowed one hit, and no earned runs.
For Conrads, Landon Ness went 3 for 4 with one run scored, Spencer Butz went 2 for 4 with one run scored and one RBI and Keegan Wolf went 2 for 4, including a double, with one run scored.
